Terry Cavanagh, creator of the recently released Super Hexagon, has had some time to work on a side project of his, porting Don’t Look Back to the Android and iOS platforms.
Cavanagh created Don’t Look Back in early 2009 in which he states he’s extremely proud of his creation, despite the “numerous flaws.” If that statement is affecting your decision on whether to pick it up or not, don’t worry, the game will be totally free.
In fact, Terry attempted to assure all potential buyers that you won’t have to pay a single dime by stating “there are no in-app purchases or any of that nonsense” in the marketing text for the App Store. Oddly enough, Apple then decided to reject Terry’s submission as it didn’t follow the review guidelines. Thankfully it’s all sorted out now.
One last bomb shell Terry dropped was that he decided to port Don’t Look Back because he’s considering an iOS and Android port of VVVVVV. Let’s hope Terry’s test run is a success and that mobile users will be graced with another great indie game!
