With many Apps hitting the iOS everyday, it’s hard to believe that some aren’t universal. While the iPad is a great platform with its hi-def screen and ample real estate, few people own one when compared to its smaller iOS cousins. Dynamite Jack was released awhile ago on the App Store for iPad only, and was a fairly big hit with the steal puzzler crowd (super niche, huh?), but those without an iPad have been left out, until now. The game’s developer, Phil Hassey, has announced that the title should be hitting the App Store for all iOS devices in the coming weeks! Exciting right?
According to Hassey, the game scales down quite well for the smaller screens of the iPhone and iPod, meaning that when the game hits those devices in a few weeks, it will be the version of the game players are already familiar with. Get the full, uncompromised Dynamite Jack experience on your iPhone now, complete with the game’s level editor and a number of levels already created by the community as standard.
If you have already bought the game for iPad, you may or may not have to buy it again for iPhone, seeing as it is unclear at this point if the new version will be released as an updated universal app, or something separate altogether. Either way, this news means more Dynamite Jack, and it’s hard to see how that could be a bad thing.

From the time he picked up writing as a hobby in the fifth grade, the gaming industry has always been Jake's topic of choice. Whether it was a piece about the "correct" way to hold a Gamecube controller or the excitement of Microsoft entering the console wars, when an idea queues up, it flies from his fingers onto the page. The immense level of availability the indie market has created for gamers everywhere is fantastic, and has become his favorite subject to write on.
