Edna & Harvey are breaking out! Onto the iPad that is! Originally released on Windows back in 2011 as a point and click puzzle adventure game, Edna & Harvey are hopping on over to iOS to bring you a point and tap puzzle adventure game! If developers Daedalic Entertainment ring a bell they are responsible for other indie gems such as The Whispered World and Deponia. Their latest game, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, was originally released on Windowsback in February 2011. Even more interesting is the game started off as a university project in Germany.
In Edna & Harvey: The Breakout you play as Edna, the main character who is trapped in a mental hospital with her rabbit Harvey. Your goal is to help Edna & Harvey escape while slowly remembering why Edna was brought there in the first place. The concept alone is interesting enough to insure the Daedalic faithful that they have lost none of their usual — or unusual — flare and originality.
Along the way you’ll discover some truly odd inmates, such as my personal favorites, Hoti & Moti, two inmates who believe they are conjoined twins, but are really just sharing a single sweater. Edna & Harvey: The Breakoutpromises more twisted humor along with challenging puzzles, extensive dialogues, and more than 120 screens to certainly prolong the player’s gameplay experience.
Our review of Edna & Harvey: The Breakoutwill be posted within the coming week, but you can pick it up on the App Store today for $5.99!
