While it’s not particularly uncommon to take the role of an animal in a video game, it is rather unusual for that animal to be a bear. Yet, in Penumbear, the new light-oriented puzzle-platformer by Taco Graveyard, that’s exactly what you do.
After awakening in a dank, dark castle basement, Penumbear must find his way out of the dangerous castle with only a small, purple firefly as his guide. Using his ability to walk the thin line between light and shadow, as well as his firefly’s ability to turn lights on and off, Penumbear must make his way through over 100 levels of ominous darkness to free his fellow bears and fireflies, and eventually make his way back out into the light.
Penumbear is a mind-bending, creative puzzle game featuring a whole host of challenges, levels, and secrets that will keep you thinking for hours on end. You’ll explore menacing dungeons and vast caverns, dodge vicious monster, and fight off ginormous bosses in your attempt to reach the light once more.
With a planned release for iPhone and iPad on the 28th of February, Penumbear is a unique puzzle-platformer that’s sure to stand in the limelight. You can find more information from either the Taco Graveyard blog, or their Twitter and Facebook pages.
