Mobile gamers rejoice! The indie hit success story, Minecraft – Pocket Edition has been updated and is closing in on its PC and Xbox 360 counterparts. With Mojang stepping up its mobile game, the latest update to Minecraft – Pocket Edition adds in new mobs: skeletons and spiders, and a bow which should come in handy when defending yourself from the new baddies. If you’re not really a fan of the whole “scary” thing, this may come as a bit of bad news, but if you’re one of the types who is preparing for the zombie apocalypse as we speak, it’s probably not a bad time to stock up on arrows.
Version 0.3.3 will at least make everyone a little happier as it addresses problems you may have encountered while playing. You’ll be happy to know that there are around 20 known glitches that have now been fixed. One of these fixes includes nerfing golden tools and making them as durable as wooden tools, just like in real life!
All kidding aside, it’s nice to see Mojang supporting the mobile version of Minecraft. There’s still a lot more to add on such as trapdoors and Red Mushrooms, but I expect a significant update when Minecraft: Pocket Edition hits 0.4.0. For our readers who just can’t get enough Minecraft, keep up with us here at The Indie Game Magazine as we have some exciting news to announce related to the sandbox-building hit in the coming days! For now, it’s time to get back to digging. Grab the update on the App Store or Google Play today.
