The fantasy RPG Monster RPG 2 has clawed its way onto the Android marketplace. For those of you who don’t know what that means, Monster RPG 2 is “a console style role playing game (perhaps most accurately, a JRPG) with a lot of depth and old-school character.” Gameplay is turn-based, and as stated earlier, it’s a fantasy game. In it, you take control of a humble villager and raise her into a world-saving heroine. It should go without saying that, just as with all RPGs, there are plenty of monsters and just overall odd creatures to slay along the way.
The game incorporates your standard assortment of classes and spectacular magical weapons and artifacts with which to buff up your character. Interestingly enough, there are also real-time tasks and puzzles to keep the game exciting as well as a fun option to either play the game’s normal musical tones in the background, or switch them off and run your own, so if JRPG music isn’t your thing, don’t let it stop you from trying to jump into the act.
As stated at the beginning, Monster RPG 2 has just been ported to the Android Marketplace and just about anywhere else you can pick up Apps. To sum it up, the game is available on the iTunes App Store, Windows, Mac, and Linux, a flavor for every type of gamer.
You can read more about the game at its official site before or after you go gallivanting off to download it once you’ve finished reading this wonderful news I’ve shared with you.
