Despite previous claims that Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube was going to be the first and last project by Peter Molyneux’s 22 Cans studio, the developer recently announced their next experiment called Godus. Godus is a “reinvention” of his classic god game Populous.
Project Godus is now live on Kickstarter and was announced via a new layer that was discovered in Curiosity. 22 Cans is asking for £450,000 to develop this rebirth for PC, iOS and Android.
“Godus blends the power, growth and scope of Populous with the detailed construction and multiplayer excitement of Dungeon Keeper, and the intuitive interface and technical innovation of Black & White“
Godus will be multiplayer with up to at least eight players at a time. Currently Molyneux believes that the game would take seven to nine months to develop. The game is closing in on a third of its goal with 26 days left. Be sure to check out the embedded Kickstarter video below.
