You may remember that a few months ago we mentioned that The Football Playbook was planned for a release on mobile, with more information to follow. Well, it seems that the developer has been hard at work with a major revamp on the game for its impending release for iPhone and iPad and it looks like all that hard work is about to pay off.
Many of the complaints that fans of the PC version of the game made have been fixed, or even greatly improved in the iOS version of the game. You’re now able to queue up and remove passes to react to opponent’s strategies, as well as move players about the field by simply drawing their path on the touch screen. There are even a bunch of completely new features that are being added, including the implementation of the offside rule, multiple difficulty modes, and power-ups such as speed boosts, or time freezes (though the last is simply a possibility for Arcade mode, not a guaranteed feature of the main game).
Lastly, and best of all, it’s been announced that The Football Playbook will be released as a Free-To-Play game, with additional levels available through in-app purchases.
If you want to keep up to date on the latest information about the iOS release of The Football Playbook, you can head over to the website or follow the development blog, as well as liking them on Facebook or following on Twitter.
