“In a shady corner of Kingsport Bay…” an apparent revitalization of the point-and-click genre is underway. While Bwana – and sidekick Kito – struggle with day-to-day survival, the search for a lost journal lands them in the heart of a dangerous adventure. TJD 2 looks to delve further into the mysteries of this spine-tingling adventure, and do so with a darker and grittier “Film-Noir” feel than the last. “The storytelling this time around is more in the game than in the movies”. For those desiring a more intricate role in story progression, deeper player immersion is planned for the second iteration, “This was something we really felt we wanted to improve on from TJD1”.
Much like its story, details for TJD 2 are shrouded in mystery. A release date has yet to be voiced, but screenshots have been released. Head over to the titles desura.com blog to check them out. The blog is no longer being updated, but no worries, as info on all things TJD can be found on the studios website, skygoblin.com. This move is intended to allow primary focus to fall on the most recent iteration – a good thing for sure!
