Shump (shoot ‘em up) fans, brace yourselves! Toon Shooters -- Mooff Games’ latest creation – is available for your iPad and iPhone now, free for a limited time! Toon Shooters is a vivid, crisp game wherein you play as a cartoon-themed pilot and it’s your job to shoot enemies down. Toon Shooters takes full advantage of your iPad/iPhone’s retina graphics.
Toon Shooters has over a dozen maps to play on, each one with a different boss battle for you to master. Having trouble with a map? You’re in luck! Toon Shooters has a co-op mode, where you can team up with a friend and tackle enemies together. The true, organic multiplayer that Mooff use is pretty refreshing, especially with all of the asymmetric business going around these days — granted that sort of thing could not really work with this sort of game.
That’s not to say Toon Shooters is perfect though. Currently, there are ads in-game, but the developers have said that those will be removed at a later date. If you’re impatient, you can purchase coins to remove the ads and receive other in-game boons. Some reviewers have also noted that there are some crashing issues, which the developer is fixing. All-in-all, the majority of the issues have been acknowledged and fixed, so that’s something to consider.
Overall, if you’re a fan of shumps or bright, cheerful games, Toon Shooters is probably the game for you. It’s free for a limited time on the App Store, so why wait? You have literally nothing to lose, except for the time you spend playing it!
