After being announced in the heat of the madness that was E3, Game Resort’s Probe The Humans flew relatively under the radar. Now that it’s on officially on the App Store, it’s time it got some air time!
Air time is really an appropriate way to announce the game, seeing as how it puts players in control of a UFO, cruising over an endless landscape of farms and fields. As the UFO’s pilot, and presumably an alien, you are put to the classic task of lifting just about everything in your path up into space for inspection by your alien overlords. Cows, people, and of course coins must be swept up in massive quantity in order to amass the best possible score, it’s a simple concept and those are often the most well done on the App Store.
The game is not quite as easy as it sounds, residents of Earth don’t take too kindly to being plucked up like cashews and quickly organize themselves against the player in order to halt his mass abduction spree. Tanks should be the most aggressive of Earth’s offensive efforts, but not the only one players will face. The more dormant, deceitful enemy of your craft will be things such as the corners of houses and barns which lie in wait before attempting to lash out at you from below and swat you from the sky like a fancy frisbee. Other threats will threaten your well-being while you try to dredge up all living things on the planet’s surface before your journey comes to an end.
Sound good? Head over to the App Store and pick up Probe The Humans for free! What’ve you got to lose? Certainly not money.

From the time he picked up writing as a hobby in the fifth grade, the gaming industry has always been Jake's topic of choice. Whether it was a piece about the "correct" way to hold a Gamecube controller or the excitement of Microsoft entering the console wars, when an idea queues up, it flies from his fingers onto the page. The immense level of availability the indie market has created for gamers everywhere is fantastic, and has become his favorite subject to write on.
